Knowing the Savior and Making Him Known

Tuesday 2/17/2026 Devotional

Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His steadfast love, that He may deliver their soul from death and keep them alive in famine.
Psalm 33:18-19

To where do I look for help when threats arise or needs increase beyond my resources? The verses before this one say, “The king is not saved by his great army; a warrior is not delivered by his great strength. The war horse is a false hope for salvation, and by its great might it cannot rescue.”
Psalm 33:16-17

If the trouble is from God, there is no hope of help; no army, no bank account, and no powerful friends will be able to deliver me. If the trouble is from any other source, I can rest assured that God is my helper, His love for me is steadfast, and He is mighty to save those who trust in Him.

In fact, if the trouble comes from God, I can still rest in Him because He’s my loving Father and will not allow anything to harm me. If He allows hardship in my life for His own reasons, I can say, “Amen! God’s loving purpose will be accomplished!”

Father, I trust in You. My sins are forgiven for Jesus’ sake, my guilt is washed away in His blood, and You are my eternal, omnipotent, loving Father. I know that You will accomplish Your purpose in my life, and protect me from anything contrary to it. Amen!
