…let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Look to Jesus. That’s the best counsel anyone can give. So many times, as a Pastor, that’s all I have to offer, and all that people need to hear.

We look to Jesus for comfort when we’re hurting. We look to Him for strength when we’re tempted. We look to Jesus for forgiveness when we fail. We look to Him for wisdom when we don’t know what to do. We look to Him for healing, for protection, for our children, for our country.

Lord Jesus, You have brought me this far.  Be with me now, today. Receive me as I come to You. Show me the way; give me comfort, wisdom, guidance, and strength to be faithful and follow You. Amen.
