Sunday 12/14/2025 Devotional
17/12/25 11:18
And they shall not teach, each one his neighbor and each one his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.
Hebrews 8:11-12
God, speaking through the Prophet Jeremiah, had spoken these words more than 600 years before. Now the Apostle writing the letter to the Hebrews reminds us of them and points out that they have been fulfilled. Jesus, the Messiah whom God had promised, had come and had established a new Covenant, a New Testament, with His people, just as His Prophet had foretold.
In this new covenant relationship with God, He makes Himself personally known to each of us. He establishes a personal relationship with us and walks us through this life, day by day. The trials and difficulties that we face are His own way of strengthening our faith and purifying our commitment to following Him, being taught, guided, and empowered by His own Spirit, His presence with us.
The adventure begins when we receive Him, trusting in His promise of forgiveness. We find that our sins are paid for; our guilt is washed away, and we’re free to know Him, because the Savior came, lived, died, and rose from the dead, for us.
What happened at Christmas changed everything.
Lord, thank You for coming to save me, for redeeming me and opening the way for me to know You. Thank You for calling me to Yourself and for personally guiding me along the way. Walk close with me, today! Amen.
