Romans 8:15-16

When I receive Jesus into my heart as my Lord and Savior, I receive God, since there is only one God, not three. Father, Son, Holy Spirit, He comes to dwell in me. As I learn to trust in God as my heavenly Father and live in the kingdom of Christ here on earth, I find that the Holy Spirit guides me, teaches me His Word in practical application to life, and comforts me with His presence. I find my heart changing: my desires, my life’s orientation and purpose, and my focus.

That’s the Holy Spirit in me, teaching me to cry out - or to sigh under my breath, “Abba, Father!” I begin to think like a child who just wants to be close to his Dad, to please his Dad, to be like Dad.

Abba, Father, reshape my thinking to seek You in everything I do. Let “What would my Father have me do here?” be the constant prayer on my heart. Keep me close, Lord Jesus! Amen.
