Knowing the Savior and Making Him Known

Easter Sunday 4/5/2026

Christ has risen! He is risen, indeed!

Martha came to Jesus in her grief and disappointment and reproached him that He had let her brother Lazarus die. She had sent word to Him that Lazarus was sick but Jesus had delayed coming. “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died!”

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” She said to Him, “Yes, Lord; I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world.”
John 11:25-27

When we find ourselves disappointed with God’s way of doing things, frustrated that He doesn’t respond the way we think He should, wondering why He lets bad things happen to good people, doubting His plan and purpose in our lives, this is His answer: “I am the resurrection and the life.”

When we struggle with the weakness of our own flesh, and even when we face the fear of death, His answer is the same. “If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”
Romans 8:11

Lord, You rose from the dead and You’re alive. You are my resurrection and my life, too. I will trust in You. Amen!
