Knowing the Savior and Making Him Known

Saturday 3/21/2026 Devotional

O You who hear prayer, to You shall all flesh come.
Psalm 65:2

When iniquities prevail against me, You atone for our transgressions.
Psalm 65:3

Iniquity is a word that means “something that should be straight but has become bent, twisted. Iniquity is twistedness; it’s the perversion of what God created to be good and right in me but that has become bent, twisted, and perverted.

The devil takes advantage of perfectly natural and healthy God-given desires in us by twisting them into something evil, perverse and wrong. Sometimes that twisting in our desires, those iniquities, overwhelms us and in spite of all our effort to be good and do the right thing, we transgress God’s commands, and we sin.

Jesus knows all about the temptations we face and He has made provision to wash away the guilt of our sins when we turn in repentance and seek His forgiveness. His own blood atones for our sins and washes away our guilt.

We can all come to Him, assured that He hears and answers prayer. In fact, we have His glorious promise: “Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear.”
(Isaiah 65:24)

He knows the sin before I confess it. He knows my need before I pray. He has made full provision ahead of time, but waits for me to come.

Lord Jesus, I come to You. You are the one who hears and answers my prayers. You have atoned for my transgressions. You receive me when I cry to You. Thank You, Lord! Amen.
