Knowing the Savior and Making Him Known

Wednesday 7/23/2025 Devotional

esus was not a publicity seeker. He didn’t do miracles for the attention or as a publicity stunt. He didn’t go around advertising a “Miracle Healing  Campaign” to attract listeners. In fact He did the opposite; He avoided such attention. Earlier in this chapter we read, “From there He arose and went away to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And He entered a house and did not want anyone to know, yet He could not be hidden.” (Mark 7:24)

He saw people’s needs and He met them, as only He can. When people came to Him, He answered their prayers quietly, tenderly, and with genuine concern for their souls, and quite often it seems that He asked them to not tell anyone about it.

Lord Jesus, give me a heart like Yours, that cares for the people You bring to me. Enable me to see through the words and the suffering, to their real needs. And since I know that these needs are far beyond my own ability, give me Your Holy Spirit, to quietly touch, heal, and supply with a word from You. Amen.
