Knowing the Savior and Making Him Known

Monday 6/30/2025 Devotional

Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, who do His just commands; seek righteousness; seek humility; perhaps you may be hidden on the day of the anger of the Lord.
Zephaniah 2:3

We can’t continue as a nation to rationalize immoral behavior and excuse evil as though God’s standards were merely an ancient point of view, to be discarded as we evolve to a more progressive enlightenment. God’s Law, given for our protection, is intended to keep us from bringing about our own destruction. Judgment will come, sooner or later, if we reject it.

We can’t make other people understand this. In a pluralistic society, many are convinced that they’re right in their “woke” view of the world. They refuse to recognize the harm it does and the lives that are destroyed by it. And they are free to think that way and go on living as they see fit, just as we are free to do life God’s way. But there will be Hell to pay.

So yes, judgement will come, but we can seek the Lord, trust Him to hide us when that day comes, and pray for our loved ones who are still wandering in darkness.

Lord, thank You for the true light of Your Word, and the promise of forgiveness when we return to it. Lord Jesus, I seek refuge in You from the consequences of my own sin. Let the light of Your Word shine clearly, and have mercy on my country, as You turn many hearts back to You. Amen.
