Titus 3:3-5

Happy Thanksgiving Day! Of all the things to be grateful for, this verse sums up the most wonderful of them all.

The world around us and life lived by its rules are described pretty well here, aren't they? The endless pursuit of selfish passions and pleasures, in a context of malice, envy, and hatred. There, but for the grace of God, go I.

But when the mercy of God appears, forgiveness and redemption are brought to bear, and Jesus becomes Lord of a life, everything changes. The things that used to drive me fade away, I begin to pursue a whole new way of living, and it’s so, so good!

Thank You, Lord, for saving my soul. Thank You for the turnaround that has happened in me, and the new life I’ve been given. I bless the day I met You! Amen.
