Knowing the Savior and Making Him Known

Saturday 12/13/2025 Devotional

He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, first for His own sins and then for those of the people, since He did this once for all when He offered up Himself.
Hebrews 7:27

Jesus, the Messiah: the perfect High Priest, who offered Himself as the perfect Sacrifice, once for all to take away the guilt of my sin perfectly and forever.

God’s final solution for sin; God’s ultimate word of forgiveness, God Himself took it all on Himself so that now I’m free to know Him.

Christmas! Not the day that God took on flesh; that had happened nine months earlier. It was the night that God, made human flesh, was revealed to heaven and earth. The angels, witnessing it, rejoiced. Shepherds in the field heard an astonishing message, that Adonay, haMoshiach, Christ, the Lord, was to be found wrapped in rags and tucked in to sleep in a feed bin. They ran to confirm it, and found Him there, just as they had been told.

Scientists, studying the stars in far off Persia, saw a celestial phenomenon that they had been waiting for, and began organizing a caravan to go and greet Him properly.

Lord Jesus, thank You for coming to be my Savior, the High Priest and the Sacrifice that assures me of Your forgiveness. Thank You for humbling Yourself, to make Yourself knowable. Amen.
