Some days are harder than others. Sometimes the cares of our hearts pile on until we can’t see beyond them. If we didn’t have the assurance that God is in control, that Jesus is Lord of our life, we would be in absolute despair.

But God’s Word always brings consolation. Words of assurance, words of comfort, even words of correction and a call to seek Him more fully console us in those times of grief, of loss, and uncertainty.

Hearing His voice as He speaks, no matter what He says, brings healing and peace to the heart.

Lord Jesus, as I read the Bible, tune the ears of my heart to listen to and hear You speak Your words of consolation to me. I’m hungry for Your voice; I long to hear it. Amen.
