A reverent, trusting fear of God leads to righteous living. Living the right way brings light and understanding to the heart and mind, and healing to the soul as well as to the body.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Wisdom dawns in the heart and grows like the sunrise, leading to more good decisions led by the Holy Spirit. Healing results as we increasingly avoid stupid and evil decisions and actions.

Lord, I’ve made enough stupid decisions to last a lifetime and suffered enough damage to myself and to others by them. Enlighten me with Your Word, guide me by Your Holy Spirit, and keep me close. Bring the light and healing that I need, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
