Shout, and sing for joy, O inhabitant of Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.
Isaiah 12:6

The “inhabitant of Zion” is one who lives in the City of God. This Old Testament reference to Jerusalem becomes a descriptive prophecy of the City of God, the fellowship of all those who trust in Jesus, wherever we live in this world. We are the City of God.

Great in our midst is the Holy One of Israel, the Messiah whom God had promised and brought to us through Israel. Our life centers on Him. His power is at work in our lives. Our prayers are answered, and His will is accomplished in our midst. He is Lord of all.

Shout and sing for joy today, Sunday, “Domingo,” the Lord’s Day!

Lord Jesus, today is Your day to be worshiped, and my day to shout and sing, because You are mightily and powerfully at work amongst us. Thank You, Lord, for revealing Yourself, so that I can know You! Amen.
