Knowing the Savior and Making Him Known

Sunday 2/8/2026 Devotional

Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his Master has set over His household, to give them their food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom his Master will find so doing when He comes.
Matthew 24:45-46

Each of us who follow Jesus is a steward, a servant entrusted with responsibility, given authority, and supplied with everything we need to carry out our particular assignment from our Master, one day at a time.

The assignment varies according to God’s plan for each one of us, but it always involves the care, protection, and feeding of members of His household: His own precious children who have been placed in our care.

Men, if God gives to you the care of one of His beloved daughters as a wife, do you have any idea what a great responsibility and privilege has been afforded you?

And other souls have been put into your care, each one beloved by God, each one to be cared for with faithfulness and wisdom: children, friends and neighbors, fellow workers, even “enemies.”

Lord, what were You thinking? You have given me the care and feeding of Your own dear children. Forgive the many times I have forgotten what I was about and sought only to please myself. Help me by Your grace to be faithful and wise, ready to respond at Your return, Lord Jesus. Amen.
