Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to His great mercy, He has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
1 Peter 1:3-5

You are a “trust baby.” You have an inheritance, being safely kept in heaven for you. It became yours the moment that you were born again by faith in the Lord Jesus.

It’s an imperishable inheritance. It can’t be spent out from under you and it can never be used up.

It’s undefiled, incorruptible. It won’t rust or rot away or wear out and be lost.

It’s unfading. It’s glorious beauty will never dim. You’ll never get bored with it or tired of it.

It’s yours, because  Jesus came and paid for it on your behalf, by His perfect life, His death and resurrection.

No matter what happens here, no matter how hard things seem or how tight the money is at any moment, know that your trust account is being kept for you. At the right time, it will be yours to enjoy.

Lord Jesus, thank You for the forgiveness and redemption that made this possible. Keep my heart, here and now, as You keep my inheritance for me. I trust You. Amen!
